With a foundation in the flooring industry, Tubby has honed his expertise as a master floor layer, specialising in sheet vinyl, carpets, and other floor coverings for both commercial and domestic spaces. Currently, he works full-time at his son’s floor-covering store, continuing to contribute his skills and knowledge to the family business.
In addition to his flooring career, Tubby has a longstanding passion for web development and online exploration. In 1998, he launched his first website, which evolved into a network of over a dozen interconnected sites, including the popular Restored Classics.com. This ambitious project aimed to preserve valuable automotive content and achieved remarkable success, garnering over 20,000 daily page views at its peak. Although life presented challenges, including a heart attack and memory loss, Tubby remains undeterred, leveraging his technical knowledge to navigate and explore the digital world.
Now living on an old-age pension, Tubby finds joy in staying active and productive, combining his professional commitments with his love for internet-based projects. His story is a testament to resilience, adaptability, and a lifelong pursuit of learning and creativity.
